discussion with German Kafka scholar Hans-Gerd Koch
Hans-Gerd Koch is a German literary scholar, editor, translator, and exhibition organizer, for whom Franz Kafka and his work have become a lifelong literary-scientific passion. He has been a central figure in the critical edition of Kafka's writings at S. Fischer Verlag for many years, and as an editor, he contributed to the five-volume edition of Kafka's letters. In conversation with Libuše Černá, director of the international literary festival globale in Bremen, he will focus primarily on the problematic and defining relationship with his father, which profoundly influenced Kafka's work and life.
